Setup for Maxon ESCON 4-Q Servo Controller
The Maxon ESCON 24/2 current amplifier delivers power to the motor in the T1a Electromechanical Subsystem. The instructions below guide you through the setup process for the amplifier, which must be powered independently of the USB connection described here. We will assume it is powered through its connection to the EM Board.
- Download the
T1a_v2.edc
amplifier configuration file. - Download, install, and launch, the ESCON Studio application.
- Using a micro USB cable, connect your computer to the amplifier.
- Remove the
Enable
jumper from the EM Board. - In the ESCON Studio application:
- Click the
Search Controllers
button
- Select the
ESCON Module 24/2
as the Active Controller - Click the
Download
button and open the
T1a_v2.edc
file you downloaded earlier - Click the
Store
button
- Click the
- Remove the USB cable and replace the
Enable
jumper.
